Toll cut at Skyway pressed

HOUSE Deputy Minority Leader Roilo Golez yesterday proposed the reduction of toll at the Skyway pending contruction of the Phase-2 project of the Metro Manila Skyway.

Golez filed House Resolution 1156 which urges the Skyway Operations and Maintenance Corporation and the Toll Regulatory Board to reduce the toll.

“With the temporary failure of the operational service of the Skyway as a result of the ongoing construction, it would be better if they reduce the amount of toll they charge motorists,” Golez said.

He said SOMCO operates and maintains the South Metro Manila Skyway Projects, including overseeing of traffic and safety management, toll way maintenance and engineering and toll collection.
