I welcome this policy. In the last Congress, I was one of those who objected to the reactivation of the Bataan Nuclear Plant. The plant is closer to Paranaque and all of Metro Manila than Iba, Zambales and many parts of Tarlac. We still have to develop the correct culture of safety to be able to eliminate the risk of a... nuclear disaster during the life of the nuclear plant. Instead, we should look at solar power, the wave of the future. It is projected that within 5-10 years, solar power will reach parity with fossil fuel (like coal) in cost per megawatt.See More
