Blessing of the New Schoolbuilding, F. Serrano Elementary School, Don Bosco, under the initiative of Cong. Roilo Golez, in cooperation with Mayor Jun Bernabe: This was the blessing of the 60-classroom, four storey, P128 Million schoolbuilding to replace the buildings burned down by the fire caused by the plane crash in the vicinity on 10 December 2011. Cong. Roilo Golez immediately went to see President Pnoy Aquino to ask for help and in record time of 11 days from the date of the fire, President Aquino ordered the release of P128 Million, with the support of DEPED Sec. Armin Luistro and DBM Sec. Butch Abad. Under the supervision of the DPWH, led by Sec. Rogelio Singson, the school building was completed in less than six months from start of construction after the usual bidding process. The schoolbuilding is now the largest schoolbuilding in Paranaque and one of the most modern in the Philippines.
