The Bangko Sentral nf Pilipinas, through Deputy Governor Diwa Gunigundo, stated here that the Philippines is entering the sweet spot of the economy because of our young population. What is needed is to train them and empower them to increase their purchasing power. It is important to have a big domestic demand to make the Philippines less susceptible to international economic downturns like what happened in 1997 and 2008.
