UN mulls ethics of 'killer robots'

Help
A report raising questions about the ethical use of so-called "killer robots" has been debated at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The robots are machines programmed in advance to take out people or targets. Unlike drones, they operate autonomously on the battlefield.
The UN human rights expert behind the report, Christof Heyns, said he was calling for a halt to their use until the ethical issues could be worked out.
Imogen Foulkes reports.
