MANILA - The Commission on Elections proclaimed Tuesday 24 more party-list groups who won the 2013 party-list election.
The 24 newly proclaimed groups will fill one seat each in Congress.
Earlier, the Comelec declared 14 party-list groups as winners. Topnotcher Buhay Hayaan Yumabong (Buhay), a party founded by El Shaddai leader Bro. Mike Velarde, got 3 seats while the other 13 parties got 2 seats each.
The thirteen other party-lists are A Teacher, Bayan Muna, 1 Care, Akbayan, Ako Bicol, Abono, OFW Family, Gabriela, COOP-NATCCO, AGAP, Cibac, Magdalo and An Waray.
A total of 53 party-list seats have already been filled up.
This is short by five to complete the 20% positions allotted for party-list groups in the House of Representatives.
Comelec Commissioner Louie Guia meanwhile said more parties could be proclaimed in the coming days.
