MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino chemical engineer related how he made his first million in India.
In ABS-CBN's "Rated K," host Korina Sanchez asked Noel Arellano how he, at the young age of 25, earned his first million.
"Yoon po ang po target ko eh. At the age of 25 or 30, dapat ma-earn ko na po ang first million ko," he said.
Back in 2006, Arellano started his own company that produces shoe cushions and soles in India. And with its success, he also became known for giving out loans to fellow Filipinos.
"Pakaunti-unti lang po pero tulong na rin," he said.
Arellano, the president of the Filipino community in the country, said that even though there are relatively fewer Filipinos in India, they are a close-knit group, often throwing parties during weekends.
"Sama-sama at masaya," Arellano said.
