Foreigner accused of spitting at hotel receptionist

MANILA -- A Chinese man was detained by police after he reportedly harassed a hotel receptionist in Butuan City.
The foreigner, Meng Guilin was seen on a video footage spitting at the receptionist.
He also shouted at the victim.
Meng was allegedly drunk during the incident.
The hotel receptionist, whose identity was withheld, has decided to file charges against the foreigner.
Charges of slander by deed, serious resistance and disobedience to an agent in authority will be filed against Meng.
He will also be charged for violating the liquor ban enforced during the recent barangay elections.
Meng has refused to comment on the issue.
