THE MONGOL EMPIRE AND CHINA'S WRONG TERRITORIAL CLAIMS: Roilo Golez

THE MONGOL EMPIRE AND CHINA'S WRONG TERRITORIAL CLAIMS:
Roilo Golez

This map of the Mongol Empire, 1206-1368, shows almost the entire China under the Mongols. If the Chinese insist on history the way they are claiming features as far away from them as Ayungin, then most of China today can be claimed by the Mongols who did not just pass by but actually governed them, and even prescribed that China use Uyghur scripts (Han Chinese are now being accused of persecuting and oppressing the Uyghurs).

To a certain guy named Nathan who said the aforementioned Mongol Empire later became the Yuan Dynasty, suggesting it became Chinese controlled, the poor guy is pitifully ill-informed. Kawawa naman. Must be rabidly pro China for reasons only he knows. It became a Yuan Dynasty by change of name only but continued to be controlled by the Mongols who were the ones who changed the name. Please note this (Wiki): "The Yuan dynasty (Chinese: 元朝, Modern Yuán Cháo; Mongolian: Dai Ön Yeke Mongghul Ulus, Их Юань улс, Ikh Yuanʹ Üls[1]) also Mongol dynasty, was the empire established by Kublai Khan, leader of the Mongolian Borjigin clan, after he conquered the Southern Song dynasty in China. Although the Mongols had ruled territories which included today's northern China for decades, it was not until 1271 that Kublai Khan officially proclaimed the dynasty in the traditional Chinese style.[2] His realm – the Great Yuan Empire (t 大元帝國, s 大元帝国, p Dà Yuán Dìguó) – was by this point isolated from the other khanates and controlled only most of present-day China and its surrounding areas including modern Mongolia.[3] It was the first foreign dynasty to rule all of China and lasted until 1368, after which its remnants in Mongolia were known as the Northern Yuan. Almost none of the Mongolian Emperors of the Yuan mastered the Chinese language, using instead their native language and Mongolian and Pagshpa scripts.[4]" In fact, the Yuan Dynasty was founded by Kublai Khan, Genghis Khan's grandson. So they (Chinese) cannot claim any credit for the Yuan Dynasty as it was a creation of the Mongols, their conquerors. I pity this Nathan for not doing elementary research, blinded perhaps by his love for China. And note this map does not include present day Taiwan and other islands in the South China Sea. From this account, China cannot even claim historical rights over Taiwan!

Kublai Khan, Genghis Khan's grandson,
founder of the Yuan Dynasty

The Chinese, in claiming ownership of Scarborough Shoal, keep on citing that "Kublai Khan’s officials were the first to map out and to establish jurisdiction over those islands in 1279. However, Kublai Khan was the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire who conquered China. If any country can inherit Scarborough shoal from Kublai Khan, it is Mongolia, not China." Kublai Khan was not China, but China's master that time. And of course Mongolia is not making that claim because they know better.
