Chinese Navy flotilla arrives in Karachi to participate in Pakistan Navy and PLA joint exercises

Karachi: Chinese Navy Flotilla has arrived in Karachi which includes Ocean Salvage & Rescue Ship CHANGXINGDAO and PLA(N) Ship HANDAN on a goodwill visit to Pakistan. The visiting Chinese platforms will take part in 4th PN-PLA(N) bilateral exercise encompassing Harbor and Sea phases.
The PLA (Navy) Task Group was extended a warm welcome and traditional hospitality on their arrival at Karachi. Senior officials of Pakistan Navy and the Chinese consulate were also present on the occasion. These exercises are expected to go a long way in promoting maritime security in the backdrop of operationalization of CPEC and Gwadar port.
