South China Sea WW3 Alert: China Fires Hypersonic Missile, US Sends Hundreds Of Naval Patrols

Morning News USA
China is making sure that the world knows what it can do. It has test-fired a giant missile while the United States sent 700 naval patrols to South China Sea. Will the United States and China face off in the next WW3?
China has become the most recent country to test fire its hypersonic missile. According to reports, a Chinese J-16 strike fighter fired the giant missile earlier this month. The long-range test reportedly destroyed the target drone successfully.

According to the Daily Mail, experts looked into the launch’s picture and concluded that the missile measured 19 feet long and 13 inches in diameter; furthermore, the weapon is said to be able to hit targets as far as 300 miles.
“This is a big deal,” wrote Jeffrey Lin and P.W. Singer, who looked into the images of the J-16.
“This missile would easily outrange any American (or other NATO) air-to-air missile.
“Reports are that the size would put into the category of a very long range air to air missile (VLRAAM) with ranges exceeding 300 km (roughly 186 miles), likely max out between 250 and 310 miles.”

On top of China’s test of power comes reports of American military vessels and aircrafts doing more than 700 patrols. The military carried out patrols in the disputed South China Sea. Information came from China’s only state-backed institution focused on researching on the waters.
“China could possibly set up an Air Defense Identification Zone in the South China Sea if the U.S. continues to intensify patrols and low-altitude spying in the region,” the Economic Times quoted Wu Shicun, president of the think tank.
China has been vocal about the warning the U.S. about intervening in the South China Sea’s affairs.
