MESSAGE
We are gathered again to pay homage to our Alma Mater, recalling the lessons and ever grateful for the words of wisdom shared by our teachers and parents who together honed us during the four years we spent in Quirino High School.
We mark the 60th year of the founding of our high school. We come together in various stages of our life journey, many just starting still anxious and excited about the life ahead, and some already way advanced in their journey, blessed with the gift of career and love and affection from family and friends.
Whatever the stage of our varied life journeys, whatever the choices we made since we left high school, the common denominator is that all of us have that deep, vivid memory of the four years we spent in Quirino High School. We can never forget classmates, the strong-willed teachers, the campus life, lessons that have helped us along the way, we never stop recalling heart tugging events and experiences that marked our four years and of course we will forever remember the songs that continue to melt our hearts reminding us of a special someone and special moments.
Let us thank all those who made this 60th Alumni Grand Homecoming possible and, firstly, that’s all of us in attendance here. For what would a grand homecoming be without the alumni coming home back to Quirino High School?
Let us thank the steering committee and the Grand Homecoming ExeCom. You know who you are. Thank you so much for your labor of love and the many and long hours you spent envisioning, coordinating, organizing and preparing for this Big Event.
We are gathered to have fun! We are here to look back, not to look forward. To reminisce, to renew ties and friendships, perhaps to look for an old flame, to walk down memory lane imagining ourselves back in high school again. We are here to enjoy, even to choke and shed a little tear remembering the good old days.
God bless Quirino High School and all the good things QHS stands for. God bless the alumni and may the Good Lord bless and keep all of us as we continue our life journey.
