Roilo Golez proposed LAWFARE, not Warfare, vs. China. Use Rule of Law where Philippines is stronger

Roilo: We should question Chinese planes from the legal standpoint.

We need LAWFARE, not WARFARE. The Law is on our side here.
LAWFARE VS. CHINA. WE CAN WIN THIS!

I propose LAWFARE, not warfare. LAWFARE is defined as follows:

Collins Definition of 'lawfare'
lawfare in British

noun
"the use of the law by a country against its enemies, esp by challenging the legality of military or foreign policy"

"Lawfare is a form of asymmetric warfare, consisting of using the legal system against an enemy, such as by damaging or delegitimizing them, tying up their time or winning a public relations victory." (Wiki)

Some say that standing up to China's bullying and claims on 90% of the West Philippine Sea, that we should not question China's militarization, because that might lead to war. . No, we are not talking of warfare here. We are talking of invoking the Rule of Law, asserting our victory in the Hague Tribunal and that will not lead to war.

LAWFARE, not warfare, is what PH needs vs. China. This should have been done right at the very moment the Arbitral Tribunal announced its decision on July 12, 2016 favoring the Philippines. Our legal and diplomatic teams should have launched a global offensive to announce to the world China's illegal claim and illegal occupation of our exclusive economic zone and there were many countries at that time, and even now, prepared to support our legal and diplomatic position, like  Japan, India, US, Vietnam, Australia, many EU countries, even Indonesia.
It's not too late to wage LAWFARE vs. China.https://t.co/rc3XIucZMm via @ABSCBNNews
